CCFW’S
BEGINNINGS
The CCFW was originally founded to raise funds to help members of the Wells community most affected by the college's impending closure. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization incorporated in Madison County, New York.
Our initial focus was to prevent the closure of the college, and when that was not possible, we sought answers through legal means from the administration and Board of Trustees. None were forthcoming. As we watched our beloved campus grow silent, shut down, and virtually abandoned, we decided to take action. We now seek to restore Wells College as an academic institution, utilizing the historic buildings and rich history to continue its strong liberal arts focus, taking full advantage of the biodiversity and ecological resources of the lake and surrounding land. Please join us!
